What we collect

UncensoredBooks.Com does not require an account and does not collect names, email addresses, or payment information from visitors. Search queries you enter are sent to our backend to look up book editions and are not stored beyond what's needed to serve that request.

Cookies and similar technology

This site does not set its own tracking cookies. If you click through to a bookseller (Amazon, eBay, or others), that site's own cookies and privacy policy apply once you leave UncensoredBooks.Com — see Affiliate Disclosure for details on those links.

Third-party services

Book and edition data is retrieved from Open Library, Google Books, and Project Gutenberg's public APIs at the time of your search. Cover images are served from Open Library's servers. None of these lookups are linked to your identity.

Fletcher, the book-finding assistant

If you use Fletcher, our book-finding assistant, your questions and the conversation so far are sent to an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic) running on Amazon Bedrock, part of Amazon Web Services, to produce an answer. Amazon Bedrock does not use them to train models, and this site does not store your conversations: the conversation is kept only in your own browser tab, and is cleared when you close the tab or choose "Start over".

To keep Fletcher affordable and prevent abuse, we count how many questions are asked from each connection. The count is stored against a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, never the address itself, and is deleted within two days. Please don't put personal information in your questions.

Server logs

Like most web services, our backend keeps standard operational logs (timestamps, request paths, IP addresses) for the sole purpose of debugging and preventing abuse. These logs are not sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
